     Christina R. Kirk is a native of Nashville, TN. After dropping out of high school due to illness and attaining a GED, Christina earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with Teacher Certification from historic Fisk University in 2001. She obtained her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from University of Tulsa, School of Law in December of 2003. Christina was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 2004. For the last 14 years, Christina has practiced family and special education law determined to zealously advocate for families, especially the judicial voiceless – the child. After years of working with youth, Christina attended Grand Canyon University's PhD program for Psychology with an emphasis on Cognition and Instruction. Christina currently sits as Municipal Court Judge for Langston and Coyle, Oklahoma.

     Christina is dedicated to youth. She served as Girl Scout Troop Leader to the DIVAs of Troop 17 for over 10 years. Under Christina, Troop 17 raised over $48,000 within six weeks in 2008 to fund an monumental trip of a lifetime to witness the inauguration of President Barack Obama. She received several community service and leadership awards including the John Green Community Service Award and the Oklahoma Bar Association Diversity Award both for her commitment and hard work in the fields of education and youth engagement. Christina also serves on several community oriented organization boards.

     In 2016, Christina entered the public school system as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, which she believes is truly a calling. She now teaches Senior English and college prep at Star Spencer Mid-High School. Through culturally relevant teaching, Christina captivates young minds while actively engaging them in the learning process. Outside the classroom, she continues to speak to youth and adults, encouraging them about the importance of education and the choices a quality education provides.

     In dedication to her mentor, Dr. Oglesby, Christina founded Prep U in 2009 to encourage and support young ladies to a life of good success. In 2013 with the help of Steve Harvey, Christina honored her mentor and shared her story of inspiration and overcoming obstacles on the Steve Harvey Show launching her to a national platform for youth education and the strengthening of families. The four Class of 2016 graduates of Prep U received over $1 million dollars in scholarship offers and awards attesting to Christina’s devotion to ensuring the good success of her young ladies. Currently, Prep U has both a 100% college admission and 100% college retention rate.

     Christina is the proud mother of Déja Kirk, with whom she co-authored a self-esteem building workbook for adolescents entitled, Developing DIVAs (2009). Christina is also a contributing author in Reflections on Purpose (2016) and Brilliant Awakening (2017). In the summer of 2017, Christina released Preparing Your Child for College workbook designed to be the to-go resource every middle and high school parent needs to navigate the college admissions journey.

     Christina’s guiding life principle is to be the person she needed while growing up to someone else.
